Collins and Butterworth is an long established, independant pharmacy bringing you the best of generations of experience combined with an understanding of the needs of our clients in the 21st century. First established in the Manchester area in 1830, we have a long heritage of pharmacy and pride ourselves on over 175 years of pharmacy heritage. The Butterworth family have been an integral part of the company since early last century, and in sole ownership since 1923.

We moved to Hawkshead in 1986, taking over a  pharmacy which itself was over 50 years old. Since then we have invested heavily in the premises, equipment and the staff training and development needed to deliver a modern pharmacy service.

We are members of the Numark group, which allows us to maintain our independence whilst at the same time using group buying power to allow us to offer great value and services.
